My interest in local social and industrial history in Coleorton, and surrounding villages in North West Leicestershire, began following my retirement.
I received my early education at the primary and junior schools in Griffydam where I took the 11+ at the latter before moving to Ashby Boys Grammar School.
My descendants roots are well established in Pegg's Green, Coleorton, Lount and Griffydam. In fact, a male blood line for the Stewart's goes back from my sons to the late 1600s in Lount. To find out more about our family history click on the Book link below or Supplement for additional information.
